Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said he wants to continue coaching football, but where he might end up in 2018 remains a mystery. Sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that Lewis plans to leave the team at the end of the season, when his contract expires.

Lewis denied making any decisions during his press conference on Sunday.

“I want to coach football,” Lewis responded Monday when asked if custom jerseys he wanted to be back in Cincinnati next season.

Lewis was then pressed on whether he would specifically like to be coaching in Cincinnati.

“Sure. Are you making an offer today?” Lewis joked to the reporter asking the question.

Lewis said he and Bengals owner Mike Brown have not discussed his future or reports of him leaving, even though they talk every morning. Although Lewis said he addressed the issue with his players, he did not say whether he addressed it with his staff.

“It’s not the pertinent thing right now,” he said. “The pertinent thing right now is to coach a football team. That’s what Customized Basketball Jerseys my job is and that’s what I’m supposed to do.

“It will be addressed when we address it.”

Lewis clearly tired of the line of questioning and said there was no point in discussing it further.

He added: “It’s an unfortunate thing because it causes a lot of people a lot of angst for no reason. It’s not going to change anything that occurs, so let’s just get to the end and see what happens.”
